Dear John,

For the past six weeks, Minnesota has been the epicenter of an escalating federal enforcement campaign that has rapidly intensified and expanded. Thousands of ICE agents have been deployed, civilians have been killed, children have been detained and separated from parents, and families have been terrorized in their own neighborhoods, schools, and places of worship. What is unfolding is urgent, dangerous, and deeply unjust—and it demands a national response.

Tomorrow, our partners at Faith in Action are leading the DC Day of Action: Praying With Our Feet, and we are calling on our CDF community to stand with us in this urgent moment.

As the Senate continues debating the recently passed House appropriations bill—which includes billions of additional dollars for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)—we are asking our advocates to take action in two ways:
1. Contact your Senators and urge them to oppose harmful increases in immigration enforcement funding. Every call helps amplify our collective voice.
Call (202) 224-3121 to be connected with your Senators’ offices and make your voice heard.

2. If you are in the Washington, DC, area,
join the inperson action tomorrow, and stand in solidarity with faith leaders and community members calling for justice, protection, and dignity for all. Register now ([link removed]) .

Thank you for showing up in solidarity and for continuing to advocate for justice alongside us.

In partnership,

Lauren W. Reliford, MSW

Director of Public Policy
