John,
Yesterday, a Virginia state court did something important.
It stopped Democrats’ attempt to rush through a mid-decade redistricting scheme — a plan designed to redraw congressional lines right before the midterms and tilt the playing field in their favor.
The judge was clear:
Democrats did not follow the law.
They ignored required procedures.
And they tried to change the rules while voting was already underway.
That matters.
Virginians voted — by nearly two-to-one — to create an independent redistricting system so politicians couldn’tmanipulate maps for political gain.
This ruling upheld that decision.
But I want to be honest with you: this isn’t the end of the fight. It’s just the moment we caught it.
Democratic leaders are already signaling they’ll keep pushing — and staying ready takes resources.
If you believe fair maps should be protected and the will of Virginia voters should be respected, I hope you’ll stand with me.
