I just made a very difficult decision, and as someone who cares about
taking back Texas, you deserve to know about it.

In conversations about campaign strategy, it became clear that if we made
some larger investments now, we would be in a much better position to win
this primary on March 3rd and flip Texas in November.

With attacks against our movement ramping up, we have to move fast or we
risk losing. So this morning I had to make a decision. The money wasn’t in
our budget, but I gave my team the green light to spend more to get our
message out in front of voters.

Yes, it was a risk. But I took a leap of faith. I was confident that if I
explained the situation and my decision to you, enough people who believe
in our movement and care about taking back Texas and the Senate majority
would come through to fill our budget gap.
