I swore an oath to protect this country when I joined the U.S. Army more
than two decades ago.
In 2019, I honored that oath by blowing the whistle on Donald Trump’s
corrupt phone call with Ukraine, an act that led to Trump’s first
impeachment and ultimately cost me my military career.
People told me to keep my head down. But my family came here as refugees
to escape tyranny. I sure as hell wasn’t going to bow down to a wannabe
tyrant.
This president unleashed a reign of terror and retribution, not just
against me and my family, but against all of us.
Today, our country is in chaos. We are entering a dark chapter of American
history, one that echoes early stages of authoritarian power consolidation
seen elsewhere.
Thug militias are attacking citizens. Tariffs are pushing prices sky-high.
Healthcare premiums through the roof. While all of this is happening, my
opponent refuses to put the interests of the American people before her
own self-interest.
Ashley Moody screwed Florida homeowners by caving to the big insurance
companies, supported this administration that gutted disaster help for
communities trying to rebuild, and had over a million dollars in her
corporate stock traded last year while she had access to insider
information that only Congress gets.
They put Ashley Moody in the Senate to be a ‘yes’ vote for Trump and the
billionaires. She’s not Florida’s senator. She’s theirs.
We need someone who isn’t afraid to put a check on an outlaw president, to
defend our democracy, and to make sure that every American has a fair
chance at prosperity.
