I won’t sugarcoat it. These are dark times right now. Things feel really hard.
The Trump administration is targeting our immigrant neighbors and Trump’s ICE is terrorizing all of our communities.
With everything going on in Minnesota these days, we honestly have much bigger things to focus on than our campaign fundraising.
In this moment, Peggy (and I!) are focused on standing up for our neighbors. That means packing groceries for folks at our parish who are afraid to leave their homes, joining school dismissal as legal observers, and joining peaceful protests to get ICE OUT of our schools.
But unfortunately, we can’t lose sight of the fight ahead of us. With precinct caucuses coming up in less than a week and the NRSC’s new MAGA opponent in this race, we don't have the luxury of ignoring this upcoming end-of-month fundraising deadline.
This past month has made it more clear than ever just how high the stakes of this election are.
This November, our Democracy and the Constitutional rights of our friends, family, and communities will be on the ballot.
We need leaders like Peggy representing us in the U.S. Senate — a different kind of Democrat. One who will fight for her neighbors and stand up against ICE and this administration, no matter what it takes.
