At the start of 2020, as part of our work to tell the full American story, we
set an ambitious goal: Discover 1,000 places connected to women’s history, and
elevate their stories for everyone to learn and celebrate.

Thanks to inspiring submissions from people like you, we have identified more
than 800 places where American women made their mark. Now, you can help us reach 1,000 in time for the 100th anniversary of the 19th
Amendment on August 26.

What places have you encountered where women made history? They can be famous or
unknown, protected or threatened, existing or lost. No matter their condition or
status, we encourage you to share them with the world.

All you need to participate is a photo of the place (or the woman), plus a short
description.
