Before vaccines, these diseases claimed children’s lives across America. 

In low-income countries like Nigeria, they still do.   

With one of the world’s lowest immunization rates, Nigeria’s health system was overwhelmed by a devastating diphtheria outbreak in 2023. 9-year-old Fatima battled fever, severe inflammation and breathing complications.   

Thankfully, this aspiring doctor recovered at a Save the Children-supported clinic – leaving healthy, vaccinated and protected.  

No child should die a preventable death. Urge Congress to support lifesaving global immunization efforts!
