1. After George became one of the only Democrats to flip a GOP-held seat blue in 2024, he became a top Republican target -- we’ve already seen attack ads, and expect the outside spending to begin at any moment.

2. Proposition 50 changed the district lines across California -- adding tens of thousands of new voters to our district who have never seen George’s name on their ballot. We’re increasing our field program to reach them before our GOP challenger does.

3. Political experts at Sabato’s Crystal Ball rank this seat as one of the most competitive in the entire country. The House majority will be won by a razor-thin margin -- and Democratic control won’t happen if we lose this seat.
