In case you missed it, our newly elected governor, Abigail Spanberger, said this about our amendment to enshrine abortion rights during her joint address to the General Assembly:

As a reminder, if we hadn’t worked together to sweep the elections for pro-abortion rights candidates in 2023 and again in 2025, we wouldn’t be in this position. That is made evident by the fact that every single Republican voted NO on the passage.
