From world-class universities, innovative businesses, the cruise capital of the world, and beaches that people travel from all over to see, our community is the crown jewel of Florida.
But as Miami continues to grow, too many people here are struggling just to get by.
The costs of rent, child care, and health care keep going up. Seniors are wondering if they can afford to stay in their homes, and the younger generations are wondering if they’ll ever be able to own a home.
It doesn’t add up — and the reason is clear: our elected representatives aren’t fighting for us. Instead of investing in our neighborhoods, Republican Maria Salazar voted to give a tax break to billionaires. Instead of making health care more affordable, Salazar voted to cut Medicaid and Medicare.
And instead of standing with immigrants in our community, Republican Maria Salazar continues to stand with Trump as Americans get killed by federal agents.
I’m running because we deserve better. Miami residents deserve a real chance to be healthy, afford a home, raise a family, live without fear, and retire with dignity.
