Emergency Phone Bank: Tell the Senate to Vote NO on DHS Funding

We are facing an urgent crisis. People across the country are experiencing brutality and violence within their own communities and homes. This is not a matter of immigration enforcement; it is an occupation that has resulted in violence against families and communities and the shooting deaths of far too many.

We cannot allow Congress to continue funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when their agents operate with insufficient training, brazenly use violent tactics against the community, and disregard our democracy, Constitution, and basic human rights.

Why Your Call is Critical

Last week, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 7147, legislation that provides funding for the Department of Homeland Security for Fiscal Year 2026. In order to prevent this bill from becoming law and provide more resources to DHS and ICE operations, we urge every Senator to vote NO.

Your immediate participation in this emergency phone bank is vital, and you are asked to urge senators to vote against funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). By calling now, you can:

Educate: Inform your senators about the brutality and violence being inflicted upon people and communities by DHS agents.

Influence: Urge them to vote "NO" on H.R. 7147 or any bill that includes funding for DHS without any restrictions on violent so-called immigration enforcement activities bringing terror and death to communities across the country. Demand that senators withhold their support for a bill that will allow DHS to continue operating without accountability.

Who to Call

Dial (202) 224-3121 for the Capitol switchboard that will connect you to the correct office, or look up the office number on the senator’s website.

YOUR Senators. Every senator in every state needs to hear from their constituents before voting this week.
