John,
Like my pal Georgia, I’m used to being on the road with my Dad, Jared Godes, as the VIP (Very Important Pup!) at most Victory Fund events. Here’s me taking a quick break from all the hard work:

Back when I could go to events, I loved meeting the LGBTQ candidates and elected officials my dad worked with. They would tell me all the time that I was such a good boy (they’re right!) and they wished I could go on the campaign trail with them. I love a good walk and meeting new friends, so I was down!
But now that we’re living in a pandemic, traditional campaigns and events have been put on hold. It’s getting harder and harder to stay paws-itive! And like Georgia said, these events were huge fundraising events for Victory Fund and my candidate friends. We’re still trying to hit our Dog Days of Summer goal to give our Dads some piece of mind – will you help make sure Victory Fund has the funds to keep our candidates going?
No bones about it, more and more LGBTQ people are running for public office – over 880 now! – which means Victory Fund needs more resources to keep working. And Victory Fund can help them make history. But if they can’t hit their end of month goal, they’ll be in the doghouse. Will you make a donation for our Dog Days of Summer goal today?
I can’t wait to see my friends at events again. But in the meantime, stay safe!

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
