Hi friend,
I’m following up on my email about reelecting Jeanne Shaheen. National Republicans have already spent millions of dollars to defeat Jeanne because they know the Senate majority hinges on winning in New Hampshire.
We’ve seen a strong surge of grassroots support since I emailed you, but we’re still falling short of our fundraising goal. Will you chip in right now to help Jeanne get back on track? Contribute $3 or more and you will help protect New Hampshire’s Senate seat and take back the Senate for Democrats.
Thank you,
Ken Burns

Friends,
You may know me as a documentary filmmaker – but I’m also a Granite-Stater who has made my home here for more than four decades. And today, I’m writing to you about my friend Jeanne Shaheen.
From standing up to dangerous policies from the Trump administration to advocating for working families, Jeanne makes a difference for New Hampshire and for our nation every single day. She’s fighting to reduce the cost of healthcare, protect a woman’s right to choose, and combat the opioid epidemic. And during this unprecedented time, as our country fights the coronavirus, Jeanne has worked hard to protect frontline workers, hospitals and small businesses.
Despite her extraordinary track record, political pundits are saying that Jeanne is one of the most vulnerable Democratic senators in the country this year. Earlier this year she was outraised by her right-wing opponent, who’s already outspending her on the airwaves.
We can’t afford to lose this race if Democrats are going to have any shot at winning back the Senate. Friends, Jeanne needs our help now.
As a filmmaker, I’ve been telling America’s stories for more than forty years. One thread that runs throughout all my films is that America is strongest when we all work together and we all have equal opportunities.
Jeanne believes that, too. In fact, that premise is central to everything she does, and it’s one of the reasons I’m proud to stand with her in this critical election. Jeanne has devoted her career to creating opportunities for Granite-Staters – and we need her leadership now more than ever.
Thank you,
Ken Burns
