After months of inaction -- and shutting out demands to protect our elections -- Mitch McConnell released his own watered-down version of a COVID "relief" bill. Unsurprisingly, it fails to fully fund basic election protections. In fact, it doesn't include any election funding at all.

McConnell's bill cut $3.6 billion in election protection funding from the House-passed HEROES Act. As McConnell continues to reveal his commitment to voter suppression, we need to ramp up our efforts to demand funding.

We must challenge anti-voter legislation that will undermine our elections before next year's redistricting process. That's why we launched our Election Protection Advocacy Fund. Can we count on you to support our efforts by pitching in whatever is most comfortable to you?

It's clear: Mitch McConnell's new bill would continue to leave our elections at risk. He knows this. It's his goal. This bill strategically and ruthlessly does not include any funding for reforms like expanding vote-by-mail or making in-person voting more safe during the pandemic.

McConnell understands that suppressing the vote this year -- by making it harder for people to vote during this pandemic -- is the first step to putting map manipulators in charge of the redistricting process next year.

We can't let his undemocratic schemes go unchallenged. We need our supporters to step up and stop folks like McConnell who would be happy to see less votes roll in this November. Chip in today to fuel the fight ahead.
