I’ve been on the road recruiting the people who will be on the ballot – and it’s working.
John,
To do my part so that we win the 2026 midterms, I’ve been on the road across Texas recruiting the people who will actually be on the ballot. I want to tell you a little bit about it if you’ve got a minute.
In Fort Worth, in Tarrant County – one of the last truly competitive big counties in our state – I stood in a packed room in a local brewery and asked a simple question:
Who here is willing to run?
Sixteen people raised their hands.
The next day in Collin County, another tough, fast-growing, swing region, 22 more Texans said yes. And in places Republicans assume we’ve written off – Waco, Brazos County, rural communities – hundreds more showed up to say they’re ready to fight.
Here’s why this matters:
When Democrats are on every place on the ballot – from county commissioner to Congress – we don’t just win more races. We register more voters. We turn out more neighbors. We build power that lasts.
That’s how we won Tarrant County in 2018. That’s how we got within striking distance statewide.
And that’s how we take back Texas in 2026.
Right now, people all over Texas are stepping forward. They’re choosing action over despair. Hope over resignation.
