John, February’s judicial hearings are coming fast and history tells us exactly what happens next.
When it comes to Trump’s judges, Senate Democrats talk tough. They issue statements. They express “concerns.” And then, time after time, they fold — advancing nominees who have no business serving on the federal bench.
It’s literally a documented pattern.
Over and over again, Senate Democrats have allowed Trump-aligned judges with extreme records, open hostility to civil rights, and strict loyalty to Trump’s agenda to move forward. Judges who were rushed through hearings, waved past red flags, and handed lifetime appointments anyway.
And every time, the consequences have been devastating.
Once confirmed, these judges are untouchable. And February’s hearings will determine whether this cycle continues.
Will Senate Democrats finally break with their own history and stop advancing judges who exist solely to entrench Trumpism in our courts? Or will they once again allow “process,” “norms,” and political convenience to override what’s right?
