We’re not going to sugarcoat this: what we watched this weekend was horrifying. Another community member killed. Another family shattered. Another video that will stay with us forever. And while people in power scramble to justify the unjustifiable, Becca is doing what she always does — showing up, speaking out, and demanding accountability.

Becca has been clear from the beginning: what we are seeing is not about “law and order.” It’s about fear. Intimidation. Punishment. And the deliberate targeting of communities that are already under threat. She even went to Minnesota because people were begging for someone — anyone — in Congress to listen, to witness, and to hear publicly what they’re living through.

But here’s the truth we need to say out loud: showing up like that takes real resources. Travel. Staff. Organizing. Rapid response. The ability to move fast when communities are in danger. So if you can, please click here and chip in $5, $15, or whatever you’re able to give right now to help Becca stay on the front lines of this fight. [[link removed]]

Becca cannot do this without you.

And we need to be clear about what we’re up against — because these aren’t just distant headlines, they’re people we can name and mourn. Alex Pretti was a 37-year-old ICU nurse who cared for veterans and stepped into the streets to protect his community, and he was killed by federal agents in Minneapolis for it.

His death came just after Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother, who was shot and killed in a similar encounter with ICE.

And we need to say their names, because this violence has faces and families behind it…

For Team Becca, this isn’t something we can watch from the sidelines. When people are being hurt, we move. That means emergency travel when communities call for help, staff working nonstop to document what’s happening and push for accountability, coordinating with advocates and local leaders, holding hearings, and forcing federal agencies to answer hard questions.

We REFUSE to look away — staying silent isn’t an option for us — and none of this happens without a strong grassroots team backing Becca every step of the way.

So we’re asking again, straight from the heart: if you believe what’s happening right now is wrong — if you believe these families deserve protection, not terror — please click here and chip in today. Even $5 helps us keep showing up when it matters most. [[link removed]]

This moment is heavy. It’s heartbreaking. And it’s also a test of who we are and what we’re willing to stand up for. We can let fear and cruelty keep spreading — or we can organize, mobilize, and push back with everything we’ve got.

Becca is already doing her part. She’s in the hard rooms. She’s asking the uncomfortable questions. She’s calling this what it is. Now we need to make sure she has the support, the staff, and the resources to keep going.

If you’re with her — if you’re angry, heartbroken, and ready to fight for our communities — join us in this fight today.

We know this is painful. We know people are exhausted. But we also know this: when we show up for each other, we build the kind of power that no administration can ignore.

Thank you for standing with Becca. Thank you for standing with our communities. And thank you for refusing to look away when lives are on the line.

With grit, with love, and ALWAYS with you in this fight,

— Team Becca Balint
