Last week, I voted NO on legislation to fund the rogue and violent agency, ICE, along with the US Customs and Border Protection. I refuse to support a single cent going to an agency that is blatantly terrorizing and abusing our communities.
And I’m not stopping there: I am proud to have co-sponsored articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem to remove her from office for good.
Noem has repeatedly failed the American people, violated her oath, and let ICE agents get away with making our communities less safe. Just this month alone, we witnessed ICE agents take the lives of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Instead of Noem holding herself accountable and halting ICE’s illegal actions, she has BLOCKED oversight while the Trump administration went straight to lying and slander.
We are seeing with our own eyes what’s happening in this country, and it’s despicable. Under Noem’s leadership, our nation is in a public safety and moral crisis.
Every day, ICE and CBP are committing unthinkable abuses with zero accountability, no respect for the law, and a complete disregard for civil rights. Meanwhile, the administration is bending over backward to justify its actions and block justice.
It’s time for it to end.
