Trump is doubling down on the Big Lie that the 2020 election was rigged – and now that we are a year into his second term and he has filled his key administration posts with election deniers – we must double down on our efforts to protect democracy as well.

Earlier this month, the White House posted a webpage rewriting the history of what happened during the January 6th insurrection.

For months, Trump has been trying to force Colorado to release Tina Peters, who is serving nine years of imprisonment for compromising Colorado voting equipment. He has even gone as far as to threaten Colorado if she is not released or moved to a federal facility.

In a recent article, Jena stated:

“Trump is trying to do everything he can to continue to topple democracy from the seat of the presidency. We have to recognize that this is an Orwellian president trying to disregard all facts, all law, all constitutional protections.”

We must fight back against Trump’s attempts to bend the rules of democracy in his favor. We do that by electing leaders on the state level who know how to fight back against Trump and win.

The attorney general is the last line of defense against federal overreach, and Jena is the leader we need to protect Colorado from Trump’s anti-democracy agenda.
