Friends,
As we face this winter storm, I wanted to keep you updated with resources in case any weather-related emergencies arise. My team and I are closely monitoring conditions and remain available to help connect you with assistance if you or your family are impacted. Your safety is our top priority, and we encourage everyone to take precautions as the storm moves through our region.
In the meantime, work in Washington continues. This week on the Energy and Commerce Committee, we heard directly from health insurance CEOs about rising premiums and out-of-pocket costs, and pressed them on how they can better serve patients and families. We also examined how federal chemical safety laws are being enforced to protect public health while ensuring American manufacturers can continue to innovate.
Additionally, Congress passed an appropriations bill to keep the government running, strengthen national security, improve emergency preparedness, and support critical infrastructure and health systems nationwide.
Sincerely,

53rd Annual 'March for Life' Rally
This week, I joined Speaker Johnson and thousands of Americans to march in support of the fundamental right to human life. Standing alongside families, faith leaders, and fellow lawmakers is a powerful reminder of the moral responsibility we share to defend the most vulnerable among us. I'm proud to stand up alongside the Speaker of the House in ensuring the right to life is at hand for all Americans. |

This week, I led an Environment Subcommittee hearing focused on modernizing federal chemical safety laws. As Vice Chair, I pressed witnesses on how outdated regulations are failing to keep up with today’s technologies—leaving families less protected and American manufacturers stuck navigating uncertainty. We need a regulatory system that is tough, transparent, and rooted in real science, not bureaucracy. Modernizing these laws is critical to protecting public health, restoring accountability at EPA, and ensuring the United States remains the global leader in safe, innovative manufacturing. |

"Bots, Grifters, and Rage: How Extremists Are Hijacking Conservatism"
Political commentator Karys Rhea joins me to break down how bots, rage-bait economics, and ideological grifting are fueling extremism in the conservative movement. We get the chance to discuss the crucial difference between gatekeeping and cancel culture and how a small but loud and angry fringe movement can distort an entire political ecosystem. |
