That’s Greg Bovino. He’s been leading the on-the-ground operations for DHS and ICE here in Minnesota.

He’s a bully, a liar, and an authoritarian. He told the shameless lie that Alex Pretti was trying to “massacre law enforcement” just hours after he was killed. He has overseen ICE agents as they beat and brutalize people, invade people’s homes, and trample on basic civil rights.

Yesterday, he got taken off the job. Demoted.

Why? Because his reign over ICE’s crackdown has been chaotic, violent, and deadly, the White House is finally feeling the heat.

That’s right: the administration is finally seeing the writing on the wall. Their violent immigration agenda is political poison, and Americans simply won’t stand for it. It’s unpopular, unconstitutional, and un-American.

This is the first major victory in our fight to get ICE out of Minnesota.

Make no mistake, our protests, organizing, and community action have made this possible. Our resistance to ICE’s outright fascism has made it harder for them to continue this reign of terror. But the fight is not over yet.

Greg Bovino may be the first to take the heat for Trump’s failed administration, but the problem goes all the way to the top.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is responsible for everything that has happened in Minnesota, including the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

She slandered these two innocent souls as “domestic terrorists” and is actively shielding her agents from facing accountability for cold-blooded murder. She’s incompetent, and her leadership is a danger to our communities. Kristi Noem needs to go.
