Dear friends,

The brutal murder of another U.S. civilian in Minneapolis over the weekend
underscores the moral moment we are in as a country. As the Senate returns
to Washington this week to begin debate on the DHS funding bill, House
Democrats will be working in their communities to keep the pressure up
over the cold-blooded killing of VA nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti by ICE.

The video speaks for itself. The American people reject this affront to
our values and safety. Alex Pretti devoted his career to serving the brave
men and women who put on a uniform to defend our nation. He should be
alive today.

We must never forget Renee Nicole Good and Alex Jeffrey Pretti.

For weeks, House Democrats pushed for common sense measures designed to
ensure that ICE conducts itself like every other law enforcement agency in
America: judicial warrant requirements, restrictions of excessive force,
prohibition on the detention and deportation of American citizens, body
camera mandates and a ban on masks.

House Republicans rejected any effort to reign in ICE.

Donald Trump’s extremists have unleashed this carnage on American streets
and cities.

They're trying to gaslight the nation -- do not let them succeed.

Trust your eyes. Not extremist lies.
