Friend,
Over the weekend, as hundreds of thousands of our neighbors braced below-zero temperatures to demand an end to the terror ICE has unleashed in our communities, federal agents took yet another life.
Alex Pretti was a son, a loving neighbor, and an ICU nurse who cared for our country’s veterans.
His death is a striking reminder of what we’ve known all along — ICE and CBP do not keep us safe. This tragedy comes just weeks after the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good, the deaths of Keith Porter in Los Angeles and Silverio Villegas Gonzalez in Illinois, and over 30 deaths in 2025 and 6 deaths so far in 2026 of individuals at hands of ICE custody.
⏰ Despite these violent attacks, the House of Representatives voted last week to give ICE a raise, despite their already billion-dollar budget! That’s billions of dollars that will never make its way down to our communities and the resources that truly keep us safe.
Enough is enough! There is no place for violence in our cities and no excuse to fund an agency that kills mothers and fathers in cold blood and vanishes preschoolers from their communities. Will you make a call to your Senators today to demand them to vote NO on additional funding for the Department of Homeland Security?
📞 Call Your Senators
Thousands of working people across the country have written letters to their members of Congress to demand no more money for ICE. However, with the House of Representatives choosing to fund murder on our streets over the safety and dignity of our communities, we need everyone to make their voices heard.
That’s where you come in, friend. The Senate has the power to stop this wasteful, deadly use of our taxpayer dollars right now, before another life is taken.
