ELIZABETH WARREN'S EMAIL:

Donald Trump just announced he is sending paramilitary troops to invade
the streets of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This follows Portland, Oregon where we saw unidentified troops in
camouflage accost innocent protestors, beat them, fire shots, and whisk
many away without ever identifying themselves. Chicago and other cities
are also on Trump's list.

I thought we’d already covered this after the attacks in Lafayette Square:
The U.S. government should not be using unidentified federal officers as a
secret police force to terrorize Americans and violate their
constitutional rights. This is outrageous.

We need accountability. Yesterday, in response to my request, the Justice
Department Inspector General announced an investigation of Attorney
General William Barr in the "sickening and appalling" attack on peaceful
protesters in Lafayette Square in front of the White House.

And my friends at the PCCC have a full-page newspaper ad featuring
thousands of veterans agreeing with former Trump Defense Secretary James
Mattis, who said, "We must reject any thinking of our cities as a
‘battlespace.'"
