Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Alex Pretti, who was executed =
in Minneapolis by Border Patrol agents in broad daylight. As we settle into=
2026, we=E2=80=99re holding the weight of this loss and so many others who=
se lives have been cut short by la migra in our streets and in ICE detentio=
n centers.=20
Like you, I=E2=80=99m pissed.=20
But all over, the violence we are witnessing is spurring more and more of u=
s into action. Families are speaking out, communities are organizing anti-I=
CE patrols, and the general public is finally waking up to the fact that im=
migration enforcement deliberately terrorizes our communities.=20
While our reality remains devastating, this moment creates an inflection po=
int, a new opening for us to build up the mass movement we need to finally =
abolish ICE and win freedom for every last one of us.=20
At FFI, we believe those facing ICE=E2=80=99s harms are the heart of that m=
ovement =E2=80=94 the leaders whose expertise is rooted in their lived expe=
rience of state violence. But community members trapped in ICE detention ce=
nters cannot organize without resources and our solidarity.=20
In December, supporters like you sprang into collective action, raising nea=
rly $4,000 in just one month for FFI=E2=80=99s Commissary Fund. Powered by =
long-time supporters and nearly 50 new donors, this money is already easing=
immediate needs for people inside detention who rely on the commissary to =
access basic necessities like food, medicine, and clean clothing.
This momentum matters. It shows what is possible when we come together.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Alex Pretti, who was executed in Minneapolis by Border Patrol agents in broad daylight. As we settle into 2026, we’re holding the weight of this loss and so many others whose lives have been cut short by la migra in our streets and in ICE detention centers.
Like you, I’m pissed.
But all over, the violence we are witnessing is spurring more and more of us into action. Families are speaking out, communities are organizing anti-ICE patrols, and the general public is finally waking up to the fact that immigration enforcement deliberately terrorizes our communities.
While our reality remains devastating, this moment creates an inflection point, a new opening for us to build up the mass movement we need to finally abolish ICE and win freedom for every last one of us.
At FFI, we believe those facing ICE’s harms are the heart of that movement — the leaders whose expertise is rooted in their lived experience of state violence. But community members trapped in ICE detention centers cannot organize without resources and our solidarity.
In December, supporters like you sprang into collective action, raising nearly $4,000 in just one month for FFI’s Commissary Fund. Dear Friend,
Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Alex Pretti, who was executed in Minneapolis by Border Patrol agents in broad daylight. As we settle into 2026, we’re holding the weight of this loss and so many others whose lives have been cut short by la migra in our streets and in ICE detention centers.
Like you, I’m pissed.
But all over, the violence we are witnessing is spurring more and more of us into action. Families are speaking out, communities are organizing anti-ICE patrols, and the general public is finally waking up to the fact that immigration enforcement deliberately terrorizes our communities.
While our reality remains devastating, this moment creates an inflection point, a new opening for us to build up the mass movement we need to finally abolish ICE and win freedom for every last one of us.
At FFI, we believe those facing ICE’s harms are the heart of that movement — the leaders whose expertise is rooted in their lived experience of state violence. But community members trapped in ICE detention centers cannot organize without resources and our solidarity.
In December, supporters like you sprang into collective action, raising nearly $4,000 in just one month for FFI’s Commissary Fund. Powered by long-time supporters and nearly 50 new donors, this money is already easing immediate needs for people inside detention who rely on the commissary to access basic necessities like food, medicine, and clean clothing.
This momentum matters. It shows what is possible when we come together.
