Mastriano Announces More Than $6.5 Million in Grants for Adam, Franklin County Communities

Funding secured in cooperation with Reps. Irvin, Reichard, Kauffman and Moul


HARRISBURG — Sen. Doug Mastriano (R‑33) ([link removed]) today announced the Commonwealth Financing Authority ([link removed]) approved more than $6.5 million in grants to benefit communities across Adams and Franklin counties. These awards were obtained in conjunction and cooperation with State Reps. Rich Irvin (R-81) ([link removed]) , Chad Reichard (R-90) ([link removed]) , Rob Kauffman (R-89) ([link removed]) and Dan Moul (R-91) ([link removed]) .


“This funding represents a major investment in the infrastructure and quality of life for the citizens of Franklin and Adams counties,” Mastriano said. “Working together with our House colleagues, we were able to secure resources that will improve water and sewer systems, enhance transportation networks and strengthen our communities for years to come.”


The following projects were awarded funding from the PA Small Water and Sewer Program ([link removed]) :


* Cumberland Franklin Joint Municipal Authority — pumping station upgrades — $375,000
* Saint Thomas Township Municipal Authority — Lisbon Drive wastewater replacement — $400,000
* Fairfield Municipal Authority — Main Street force main replacement — $144,700
* Greencastle Borough — wastewater collection system replacement phase 1 — $337,500
* Greene Township Municipal Authority — interceptor replacement — $400,000
* Guilford Water Authority — Kohler Road I‑81 water main extension — $335,439
* Mont Alto Municipal Authority — well development — $425,000
* Quincy Township — Bulk Water Station project — $64,600
* White Run Regional Municipal Authority — Northwest Pump Station rehabilitation — $166,175
* Washington Township Municipal Authority — Cold Springs Pumping Station modernization — $100,000


The following projects were awarded funding from the Multimodal Transportation Fund ([link removed]) :


* Adams County Industrial Development Authority — Gettysburg sidewalks and lighting — $274,330
* Antrim Investment Group — Heritage Hills transportation improvements — $400,000
* Borough of Waynesboro — Walnut Street pedestrian lighting — $273,037
* Greene Township — North Chambersburg improvements phase 2 — $685,000
* Metal Township — Creek Road rehabilitation — $1,450,000
* Montgomery Township — new connector road — $550,000
* Washington Township — Washington Boulevard phase 2 — $205,000


“By investing in these projects today, we are laying the foundation for stronger communities, job growth and a higher quality of life for generations to come,” Mastriano said.
