John, we have
hard work ahead of us.

I know better than most how competitive our statewide elections here in
North Carolina can be.

I know that winning them takes the dedication to meet voters wherever they
are, the commitment to listen to what folks need, and the determination to
see this work through.

We’re in the midst of the hardest fight of my career, and I won’t be able
to win without help and support from across the country.

I don’t want to alarm you, and I won’t ever tell you that the sky is
falling when it isn’t. That’s not the kind of campaign we’d run. But our
fundraising pace has slowed in the last couple weeks, and we’re at risk of
falling behind this month’s goal.
