On Saturday, CBP executed Alex Pretti in the streets of Minneapolis. In broad daylight. On camera. One agent was caught on video clapping afterward. Another said "boo hoo."
Alex Pretti was a 37 year old nature-loving ICU nurse who cared for veterans at the VA. Like many brave Americans, he was called by his conscience to try to protect his immigrant neighbors who have been terrorized and abducted by ICE. His final act was trying to help a woman who had been pepper sprayed by ICE. And the Trump regime murdered him for it.
But it's not just Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Last week, ICE abducted little Liam Ramos, a 5-year-old boy wearing a bunny hat and Spiderman backpack, and trafficked him to Texas. They have kidnapped thousands of innocent people and are violating the constitutional rights of untold people. Masked militia, whether ICE, DHS or CBP, do not belong in our communities, let alone armed and willing to commit murder and abduct children.
Last week, 7 House Democrats helped Republicans pass a bill to fully fund ICE and CBP.
But WE CAN still stop this.
The Senate votes this week, and that's where we have power to change the outcome.
After massive public outrage over Alex's murder, Senate Democrats vowed to block this funding bill. Senator Ed Markey said it plainly: "We have the power to end this." And he's right—but they will only do it if we hold them to it.
A handful of Democrats on the Appropriations Committee could waver under pressure from party leadership to "compromise" or "negotiate." We need to make sure they hear from thousands of us before they vote—so they know the political cost of funding ICE is higher than any pressure from Chuck Schumer's office.

The federal government is already lying about who Alex was and what happened—but the video proves the truth. Share it widely. Let people see with their own eyes what ICE and CBP are doing in our streets.
Right now, public outrage is a gale-force wind. If we keep the pressure up this week, we can force them to block this bill. But if we let up, they could cave.
We will not normalize this. Not one more dollar. Not one more kidnapping. Not one more murder.

Pero AÚN podemos detener esto.
El Senado votará la próxima semana, y ahí es donde tenemos el poder de cambiar el resultado.
Tras la enorme indignación pública por el asesinato de Alex, los senadores demócratas prometieron bloquear este proyecto de ley de financiación. El senador Ed Markey lo dijo claramente: "Tenemos el poder de poner fin a esto". Y tiene razón, pero solo lo harán si los presionamos.
