Dems,
It's been a difficult weekend following another killing by ICE in Minneapolis. We know that many are struggling with how to react, where to put their energy, and how to prepare should ICE efforts accelerate in Colorado.
We compiled resources from trusted sources such as the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition, We Keep Us Safe Colorado, and the City and County of Denver into a toolkit of resources and helpful links on CDP's website.
Access the toolkit here. The toolkit will also be shared in graphic form on CDP social media and through A Stronger Colorado.
Please feel free to share this resource with your peers, networks, lists, and on your social media pages. If you feel that we've missed something important to add, please feel free to make suggestions and send our way.
Feel like taking action?
You are always welcome and encouraged to call your elected officials today and every day if you are shocked by the horrifying scenes unfolding in Minneapolis.
Each office tallies how many people support or oppose certain actions and you are typically asked to give your positions as well as your first and last name plus zip code.
I worked on the Hill for a number of years and I can tell you that elected officials care deeply about these metrics. There is no such thing as wasted effort here.
It's best to call members who represent your area. Please be kind to the staff.
A note: Colorado Democrats in the House voted against the DHS funding bill, and our two US Senators have pledged to vote no. Call and thank them!

- Hickenlooper: 202-224-5941

Put pressure on Boebert, Crank, Evans, and Hurd to change their votes and follow suit should the opportunity arise, and express disappointment with their votes:

- Crank: 202-225-4422
-
Evans: 202-225-5625
- Hurd: 202-225-4676
Thanks for all you do and stay safe out there,
