It happened again. Alex Pretti was just murdered in cold blood by ICE agents in Minnesota – and the Trump administration immediately rushed to spread lies directly contradicting what we all can see with our own eyes.
One thing is clear: ICE, acting as Trump’s private police force, will only escalate its violence and terror unless we do something to stop it. And here’s our chance: this week, the Senate is preparing to vote on whether to send ICE $10 BILLION more as part of the government funding package.
After many Senate Democrats indicated last week they’d support the bill, the dam is breaking and now they’re vowing to oppose it. But we have to keep up the pressure RIGHT NOW to make sure they don’t cave.
Let’s make it clear that anyone who votes to rubber-stamp ICE’s budget will be complicit in this unchecked machinery of terror.
Together let’s overwhelm them with public pressure to stand firm. Take action right now and tell Senate Democrats – defund ICE. End the violence.
Federal agents are brutalizing protestors, communities are living in constant fear, and a government agency has been unleashed on anyone who dares to dissent. But Congress keeps writing the checks – using OUR taxpayer dollars.
Just last week, seven Democrats in the House broke ranks and voted to send ICE BILLIONS more to terrorize us. Now, the Senate will vote to fund the government this week, and Democrats are FINALLY speaking out, vowing to oppose the DHS part of the funding bill.
But now it’s up to all of us to force them to stand strong as lobbyists and Republicans launch an all out assault to keep the money flowing to ICE.
Take a stand. Demand your senator defund ICE and reject another penny for DHS’s machinery of terror.
We cannot allow Congress to keep fueling ICE’s reign of terror with our tax dollars.
