Real Justice

John, we are in a moment of crisis.

Trump’s goons are literally kidnapping protestors off the streets in Portland and American police are still being brutal from coast to coast. Racism and injustice are so deeply ingrained in our policing system that simply proclaiming 'Black Lives Matter' is cause for violent police backlash. Our country is aching for change and real solutions to the injustice we're witnessing.

One way we can respond is by electing transformative leaders as District Attorneys across the country. They are the local CEO’s of the justice system and have more power to change it from the inside out than any other single office in the nation. Starting August 4, we have the chance to elect three more Real Justice candidates to the highest legal offices in their communities.

Kim Gardner (Circuit Attorney, St. Louis, MO), Victoria Burton-Harris (County Prosecutor, Wayne County, MI), and Monique Worrell (State Attorney, Orange County, FL) are all ready to fight for bold change to our country’s legal systems. They will be the local CEO’s of the justice systems in St. Louis, Detroit, and Orlando. We need them in office. That’s where you come in.

These candidates need to reach as many voters as possible before their elections in August. Can you split a contribution to support our three endorsed candidates so they can fight for real justice?

Kim Gardner is running for reelection to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office. As current Circuit Attorney, Kim has reduced the average daily St. Louis jail population by 39 percent and she’s cut prison incarceration in half. But now her reelection campaign is receiving racist backlash from the conservative white establishment, including Trump and the police department, so we need to do everything we can to help her fight back. She’s receiving death threats daily and may be the single most hated Black woman in leadership nationwide right now. She needs our help.

Victoria Burton-Harris is running for prosecutor in Detroit’s Wayne County. She’s challenging an incumbent who’s responsible for a backlog of more than 10,000 unprocessed rape kits, as well as more cases of wrongful convictions in Wayne County than the entire rest of Michigan. Victoria won’t stop fighting until we close racial disparities and make the office transparent and accountable to the people.

Monique Worrell is running for State Attorney in Orlando, Florida. She’s an activist who has fought for justice in Orlando for more than twenty years. With experience as a former defense attorney and assistant state attorney, she is running to bring a holistic perspective on justice to the office.

All three of those candidates have elections coming up in just a few days. I need your help now to make sure they can win — it’s all hands on deck.

Every dollar you donate will help Kim, Victoria, and Monique win their races so they can fight for bold reform in our country’s legal systems.
