Hello John,

Seventeen years.

That’s how long the SunZia Southwest Transmission Project in Arizona has been
trapped in red tape.

Nearly two decades of lawsuits, reviews, and delays while families pay higher
energy bills.

And it’s not just one project.

A new AFP report shows that in six states — Arizona, Montana, Nevada, Ohio,
Pennsylvania, and West Virginia —Washington’s broken permitting system has
delayed or killed projects that would have created50,000 jobs and nearly $75
billion in economic benefits.

Pipelines, power plants, and energy projects that should be lowering costs are
instead stuck for 10, 12, or even 15 years. Some have just been canceled
outright.

The report concludes: America doesn’t have an energy problem. We have a
process problem with how new energy production projects are greenlit.

✍️The House acted. The Senate is stalling — and families are paying the price.
Take one minute to urge your senators to pass real permitting reform now.
