Not long ago, California’s 8th Congressional District was considered a safe Republican district. When we launched this campaign, most pundits thought there was little chance that we’d be able to turn it blue.

- But then Rep. Paul Cook retired making this an open seat.

- After that, our robust voter registration program narrowed the gap between Republicans and Democrats in CA-08 to only 4% -- an even narrower margin than Democrats overcame in races like Katie Porter’s in 2018.

- And quarter after quarter, our grassroots team has out-raised our opponent without taking a dime from corporate PACs.
