I wanted to reach out personally with an update and a moment of gratitude.

Jennifer Konfrst has ended her campaign, and I want to begin by saying how deeply grateful I am to her for her leadership and for the work she’s done for Iowa families.

In a time when politics can feel loud and chaotic, Jennifer has stayed focused on what matters: protecting our public schools, doing right by Iowans, and standing up for our shared values. Our party is stronger because of her, and I’m truly thankful for her service.

I also want to thank Jennifer for the work she put into this campaign. She traveled the district, listened to voters, built a strong team, and organized supporters who care deeply about Iowa’s future. Running alongside her pushed me to be a better candidate, and I’m honored to have her endorsement.

Moments like this are a reminder of how much courage it takes to step forward and run for office, and how much work goes on behind the scenes that most people never see. Anyone who does that work deserves respect.

Now, we turn the page and focus on what comes next.

I’m ready to work alongside Jennifer to unify Democrats, earn the trust of voters across IA-03, and defeat Zach Nunn so we can lower costs and restore balance and accountability in Washington.

The road ahead won’t be easy. Republicans are already putting resources in to hold this seat, and national attention on this race will only continue to grow. But I believe deeply in the campaign we’re building and in the people who make it possible.
