This weekend was hard. If you're feeling overwhelmed, angry, scared, or all three, you're not alone.
We watched federal agents kill Alex Pretti, an American citizen, an ICU nurse who spent his life caring for our veterans. We watched it happen on video. And then we watched the government lie about it. It's a lot to carry.
Here in Kentucky, we know something about taking care of each other. We check on our neighbors. We show up when times get tough. We don't look away when someone needs help. That's who we are. And that's who we need to keep being.
So today, I'm asking you to take care of yourself. Step away from your phone if you need to. Call someone you love. Eat a warm meal. Get some rest.
This fight isn't going away. We need you in it for the long haul, and that means taking care of yourself so you can take care of others. We'll keep fighting for Kentucky families and standing up for each other.
That's how we get through this.
Take care,
Morgan
