I have personally invested tens of thousands of my own money. But despite being massively outspent by the Republican establishment, we came within seven votes on runoff night.



Here’s the bad news. As county results get certified, likely today, we remain behind. And this is one of the most expensive districts to request a recount. **By mid-week, we will likely have to have a $35,000 deposit to get a recount in TX-23’s 29 counties.**



I’ve got to be honest with you: I don’t have it. If I had to decide today, I would forego a recount, not because I have lost the will to fight, but because of limited resources.



It’s really up to you. If you want us to fight on, I need your help.



We not only have to pay for the recount, as required of the 2nd place finisher under Texas law, but we have mounting legal bills.



At this point it is up to you: do you want to fight on?
