A Year of Results Under President Trump
This Tuesday, we celebrated one year under President Trump’s leadership. In just 12 months, President Trump has secured our southern border with eight consecutive months of zero releases, stopped drug cartels before they reached our communities, and restored law and order across the nation.
I look forward to continuing this work alongside President Trump and my House GOP colleagues as we keep delivering for the American people.
Passage of the Main Street Parity Act
As Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, lowering barriers for entrepreneurs remains one of my top priorities. This week, my bill, the Main Street Parity Act, passed the House floor. This legislation expands opportunities for small businesses participating in the Small Business Administration's 504-loan program.

Modernizing Housing for the 21st Century
This week, I spoke during a House Financial Services Committee hearing titled “Oversight of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Federal Housing Administration.” I raised concerns about how HUD regulations affect small, family-owned homebuilders in North Texas. These builders do not have teams of lawyers to manage compliance, so any type of delay increases costs and can jeopardize an entire project.
That’s why I strongly supported the Housing for the 21st Century Act: it modernizes outdated programs and helps builders complete homes faster and more affordably.

Celebrating The Passage of Five Committee Bills
On Tuesday, the House passed five of our Committee’s bills under suspension, sending them favorably out of the chamber. These bills cut through unnecessary red tape and help small businesses adopt emerging technologies so they can grow and compete.
I’m proud of the work our Committee is doing to deliver practical, commonsense solutions for America’s entrepreneurs. Each time one of our bills passes the House, I continue a long-standing tradition of handing out baseballs to celebrate the team effort and the progress we’re making for small businesses.

Supporting Entrepreneurship Through Franchising
On Thursday, the House Small Business Committee held a hearing titled: “Local Ownership, National Brands: How Franchising is a Pathway to Entrepreneurship.” This hearing explored how franchising can create opportunities for local entrepreneurs and strengthen small businesses nationwide.

Standing for Life
As your Congressman, I have consistently voted to defund Planned Parenthood and to prevent federal taxpayer dollars from being used to fund abortion. I firmly believe that every child is a gift from God, and it is our responsibility to protect life at every stage. I am honored to have received an A+ rating from SBA Pro-Life, reflecting my consistent record of voting to protect the most vulnerable among us.
In Case You Missed It
I joined the House Republican Conference’s Media Row in Washington, D.C., where I highlighted my work as Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business and discussed Year One of President Trump’s second term.
In God we trust,
Roger Williams
Member of Congress
