Dear Friend of Israel,
Earlier today, Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists entered into Israeli territory from Lebanon to attack northern Israel. Fortunately, the Israel Defense Forces

stopped the terrorist cell before they could threaten or kill Israelis.
The threats facing Israel are real and growing. Security threats, such as today's escalation, underscore the importance of full American security assistance to Israel—which ensures the Jewish state can defend itself, by itself.
Thanks to your persistent work to educate and engage elected officials, Congress is taking important action.
On Friday, the House of Representatives

passed the annual State and Foreign Operations funding bill, including important bipartisan provisions that AIPAC has lobbied for that will help keep Israel safe and America strong.
This includes:
-
Full $3.3 billion in U.S. security assistance to Israel, as agreed to in the 2016 Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU).
-
Strong report language condemning Iran’s aggressive and destabilizing activities throughout the region, including providing its terror proxy Hezbollah with advanced precision-guided missiles, and directing funds to prevent Iran’s development of nuclear weapons.
AIPAC applauds the House of Representatives for supporting these and other important bipartisan pro-Israel initiatives.
Below is more news we are following this week.
Sincerely,
Brian Shankman
Director of Regional Affairs and Development
