John,

On the day that civil rights hero Congressman John Lewis lies in state at the U.S. Capitol, Steve King defended Senator Tom Cotton for calling slavery a "necessary evil."

Tweet from Steve King: Cotton said slavery was VIEWED as a necessary evil by our founders. Had our Fouinding Fathers blocked the founding of our nation until slavery was eradicated, there would have been no union. As John Adams said, ''Facts are stubborn things...''

Randy Feenstra? He's remained silent. Per usual.

This is disgraceful and shows just how important it is to dismantle white supremacy and fight back hard against the legacy of slavery.

J.D. Scholten will never be silent when leaders promote or defend racism. He stands tall for all.

If you believe it's necessary to replace Steve King with J.D. Scholten, then chip in $5 or more before our end-of-month fundraising deadline. Thank you,

Team Scholten
