This week, I will be voting NO on giving whatever ICE has become more taxpayer money.
This is no longer a serious immigration enforcement agency. These are federal agents actively sowing fear in communities instead of protecting the public. Fear has become the mission.
At the same time, while Americans are losing food stamps and health care costs skyrocketed, Kristi Noem is lying to the American people at photo ops and enriching herself and her cronies on the backs of hardworking taxpayers. It's pure corruption, plain and simple.
But it goes deeper than that.
Pam Bondi, Donald Trump's Attorney General, sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying they had a choice: hand over your voter rolls or ICE won't back off.
It's a shakedown -- and an attempt to takeover competitive elections in states that are either swing states or states they've lost in previous elections.
We can't let this stand.
First, we fight back in the Senate this week -- and then we have to continue the fight to take back the House and Senate in this election, and the White House in the next.
