The gerrymandering fight continues to unfold in darkness. With thirty minutes notice on Thursday, I was called into an emergency appropriations meeting. The purpose? An allocation of $5.2 million to cover the cost for the special election on April 21st. This flies in the face of the promise of affordability preached by the left.
On the floor, my colleagues across the aisle told us how they were forced to redistrict because of what’s happening at the federal level. Well, I have a reminder. Two wrongs don’t make a right. The goal is to send at least ten Democrats to Congress in a state that most years is evenly split down the middle.
