We don’t even know how to put into words our devastation in reaction to today’s horrific news out of Minneapolis. 


Another person has been murdered after an encounter with ICE – and the cruelty was followed, predictably, by the Trump Administration once again lying about what happened and telling us not to believe our own eyes.


A 37-year-old nurse was shot by federal agents, and the videos and eyewitness accounts show something that looks less like law enforcement and more like an execution. 


For so many of us, this event feels overwhelming – like no one has the power to hold ICE and Donald Trump accountable.


But there is something we can do, and we need your help:


Right now, Senate Democrats have the leverage to stop a DHS funding bill that would allow Kristi Noem to expand ICE’s reach. 60 votes are required, meaning Republicans cannot pass it without Democratic support. This is one of the few moments right now where Democrats have the power to hold the Trump Administration accountable. 


Here’s what you can do right now: Call your U.S. Senators – especially if they are Democrats – and tell them:


  • Vote NO on any DHS funding bill without real restrictions on ICE
  • Do NOT give Kristi Noem more money
