Last night, SDIM’s Jon Fleischman appeared on CNN on The Issue Is with Elex Michaelson for a one-on-one debate with Neera Tanden.
Tanden is a longtime Democratic policy figure, the founder of the Center for American Progress, and a former senior official in the Biden administration. She remains one of the most prominent institutional voices on the progressive left.
During the segment, Michaelson moderated a debate covering several topics, including recent developments involving ICE and Minneapolis, Governor Gavin Newsom’s presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and a recent Atlantic Monthly article examining how Newsom’s record as governor of California could present challenges for him politically.
