Dear Friend,

I wanted to make sure you saw this important message we sent last week. Mitch McConnell and Mitt Romney are trying to sneak the TRUST Act into the new coronavirus relief package.

Few Americans have heard of the TRUST Act, but we should all be alarmed. If it becomes law, lawmakers would meet BEHIND CLOSED DOORS to create a plan to cut our earned Social Security and Medicare benefits.

Cutting earned benefits is always a bad idea. Trying to do this during a pandemic is ridiculous and cruel.

Sincerely,

Subject: URGENT: Trump and McConnell want to sneak Social Security Cuts Into Coronavirus Legislation!

Dear Friend,

Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that he and the White House will include the dangerous TRUST Act in the latest Republican coronavirus relief package.

The TRUST Act creates a commission that would go BEHIND CLOSED DOORS to decide how to cut Social Security and Medicare. Once they create a plan it would be fast-tracked for a vote.

Cuts to Social Security and Medicare are wrong, unnecessary and have nothing at all to do with fighting the pandemic or recession.

We need to stop this dangerous and undemocratic plan now before it’s too late.

The Alliance has forced Mitch McConnell to back down before -- and with your help we can do it again.

Will you help?

Sincerely,

Richard Fiesta
