Hi John,

Our 4th annual conference is right around the corner -- and it's the first time we'll be hosting it in Europe, this October 5-6 in Limerick, Ireland! You're invited to join us for "#NoWar2019: Pathways to Peace," World BEYOND War's annual convergence of anti-war activists, organizers, peace educators, politicians, & journalists from around the world.

This is the 1 time a year that World BEYOND War's staff & membership meet up in 1 location to network & share skills, strategies, and lessons learned. WBW chapter coordinators from Ireland, New Zealand, Germany, Florida, Ontario, Vancouver, Spain, and Japan will share updates about campaigns that we're working on around the world. Plus, meet our staff in person: David Swanson, Amy Lambrecht, Marc Eliot Stein, and me. RSVP to join us.

We're coming from locations far & wide, but we think it's worth it to make the trek to Limerick to shed a light on the U.S military presence there. Every year, the U.S. sends tens of thousands of troops through Shannon Airport to bases in Iraq & Afghanistan, in direct violation of Irish neutrality and international law. We hope you'll join us for this opportunity to meet with Irish activists, organizers, and elected officials to learn about the impact of U.S. militarism in Ireland - and how we can work together to stop the U.S. war machine. That's why we're concluding the conference with a rally and tour at Shannon Airport.

Personally, I'm excited for Laura Hassler's interactive workshop on using music as a form of activism, and Mairead Maguire's panel presentation on the efficacy of nonviolence. I'll also be hosting my own workshop, in partnership with Aine O'Gorman, about how to start up grassroots divestment campaigns. Plus, we'll have a chance to meet with filmmaker Peadar King during an exclusive screening of his film Palestinian Refugees in The Lebanon: No Direction Home. Check out the full agenda here.

Bonus: Any conference wouldn't be complete without a peace camp, open-mic session, vegan food, and freebies (all registrants get a free digital copy of WBW's book!). Reserve your spot.

Spread the word!

See you there,
