BUS SERVICE SUSPENSION AT 7 P.M.
Updated: Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026 3:30 p.m.
Due to deteriorating weather and road conditions across the Trinity Metro service area, TRE Link from CentrePort to DFW Airport will be suspended at 4 p.m. and Trinity Metro bus service will be suspended beginning at 7 p.m. tonight (Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026) for the remainder of the evening. This decision is being made to ensure the safety of customers and team members.
Trinity Metro previously implemented ice detours on bus routes and adjusted TEXRail service to hourly frequency as conditions worsened. Service may be delayed.
The On-Demand Southside rideshare service, announced earlier, will cease operations early this evening due to weather conditions.
If a bus or rail trip is interrupted because of inclement weather, our Guaranteed Ride Home program makes sure customers get home safely.
Trinity Metro supervisors will be actively canvassing bus routes to ensure customers are not stranded as service winds down. In the event a customer does not have access to transportation to their evening destination, Customer Service (817.215.8600) will be available until 8 p.m. to assist customers through the Guaranteed Ride Home program.
The following services will continue operating on previously published schedules:
- TEXRail
- Trinity Railway Express (TRE)
- On-Demand paratransit
Trinity Metro will continue to monitor weather and roadway conditions as planning continues for a delayed start of services on Sunday and will notify customers and the public as circumstances change.
Before Heading Out:
- Stay informed: RideTrinityMetro.org/Weather, Trinity Metro Alerts & GoPass alerts, Trinity Metro social media channels.
- Allow extra time and plan for possible delays.
- Watch for temporary stop changes and detours.
- Use caution on platforms, sidewalks, and at stops—surfaces may be slippery.
- Wear clothing that is appropriate for the weather conditions.
