Friends and neighbors,

 

I recently recorded a video message about immigration enforcement here in Minnesota. A few key points:

 

First and foremost, if you're here legally and following the law, you have nothing to worry about. Legal immigration is really important, and we welcome with open arms everyone who comes here the right way and becomes part of our American community. And for those who are here illegally, the Trump administration is offering a voluntary return program to help people go back to their country, get in line, and come here legally.

 

I am also concerned about the chaos we're seeing in Minnesota compared to states like Texas, Florida, and Louisiana. It doesn’t need to be this way. When governors, mayors, and local law enforcement cooperate with ICE, everything is orderly. Here, Tim Walz, Jacob Frey, and Keith Ellison are fighting federal law enforcement at every opportunity and framing this as a war.

 

We're talking about removing serious criminals from our society, like pedophiles, rapists, murderers, and drug traffickers. These are the people Democrats are protecting. And while protesting is a right, it must remain peaceful. We have watched protesters cross the line multiple times with violence, vandalism, and most notably the stunning video of a group storming a church service. The rhetoric and actions of Democrats are why we have chaos.

 

ICE has already removed approximately 10,000 criminal illegal immigrants from Minneapolis. Let’s keep those successes going. Let's support law enforcement, get violent criminals out of our communities, and make Minnesota safe again.
