The only federal law protecting farmed animals during transport—the Twenty-Eight Hour Law—has no record of USDA enforcement. That’s why stronger policies are critical. The Humane Transport of Farmed Animals Act would require the Department of Transportation (DOT) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to actively monitor transport, ensuring animals are protected and the law is followed.
We know the food system is filled with hidden suffering. Thanks to your tireless advocacy, we can raise awareness, push for stronger policies, and drive meaningful change for animals.
As Winter Storm Fern impacts communities across the U.S., our hearts are with you, your loved ones, and everyone facing the storm’s dangers.
Thank you for standing with animals—your care and advocacy make a real difference.
