Whether it’s in Montana’s Trump country or rural Pennsylvania or towns across Virginia forgotten by DC Democrats, we are winning again by recruiting candidates with lived experiences who care about the same issues as voters: potholes, power bills, housing, and keeping the lights on.
In any given week, I speak to farmers, teachers, parents, renters, and union members who are ready and excited about jumping into a race for school board or city council.
Sometimes they ask, “Can I really do this?” And thanks to Run for Something’s amazing group of monthly donors, I can enthusiastically tell them: “Yes!”
Your support can help cover the cost of coaching, mentorship, and essential campaign tools that give young, first-time candidates a chance to compete in places mostly written off by the national party.
