We must demand that instead of cuts to our earned benefits, that the Senate pass a clean COVID-19 relief package that prioritizes cash aid to individuals and families and protects millions of people from evictions.

John,

Mitch McConnell’s COVID relief package is being released today—and hidden in the details is a dangerous attack on Social Security.

We successfully defeated Trump’s call for a payroll tax cut, but Senate Republicans haven’t given up on their long-held goal of using the pandemic to force through cuts to Social Security.

McConnell’s bill will reportedly include the TRUST Act―which, if passed into law, would create commissions to propose fast-track cuts to Social Security and Medicare that Democrats will be unable to stop with a filibuster.

If the TRUST Act is passed as part of the COVID-19 package, closed-door commissions could set up votes to cut Social Security and Medicarecuts that would hurt millions of Americans for decades to come.

We must fight back against Mitch McConnell's underhanded attempts to cut Social Security and Medicare―unjustly tying the future of our earned benefits to the pandemic emergency. Donate today to fight attacks on Social Security and Medicare!

We must demand that instead of cuts to our earned benefits, that the Senate pass a clean COVID-19 relief package that prioritizes cash aid to individuals and families and protects millions of people from evictions.

Remember, Social Security has never added one dime to our debt or deficit because it is independently funded by the payroll tax. Any suggestion that we should cut our earned benefits at such a desperate time of need is nothing more than Senate Republicans using the pandemic to achieve a long-held right wing goal to destroy Social Security and Medicare.

Donate today to fight back and demand that the TRUST Act be dropped from the Senate’s COVID-19 package.

Thank you for taking action today to defend our earned benefits and fight for millions of vulnerable people and families.
